ROCK SCHOOL BALLET INTENSIVE
Sunday, June 22nd - Saturday, July 26th, 2025
The Rock School's 2025 Ballet Intensive features personalized attention from an award-winning faculty in state-of-the art facilities in Philadelphia and West Chester, PA. Designed for motivated students aged 9 to 18, the program offers classes in ballet technique, jumps and turns, pointe (for ladies ages 11+), partnering, contemporary, and pilates. Students can choose from 2, 3, or 5-week sessions.
Philadelphia (Ages 13-18 and All Males)
2-Week Session: Sunday, June 22nd - Friday, July 4th, 2025
3-Week Session: Monday, July 7th - Saturday, July 26th, 2025
5-Week Session: Sunday, June 22nd - Saturday, July 26th, 2025
West Chester (Ages 9-14)
2-Week Session: Monday, June 23rd - Friday, July 4th, 2025
3-Week Session: Monday, July 7th - Saturday, July 26th, 2025
5-Week Session: Monday, June 23rd - Saturday, July 26th, 2025
Please note that all dancers age 11+ must be on pointe by January 1st, 2025. Dancers must be age 9 by January 1st, 2025 to participate in the program.
All dancers at both locations enrolled for 3 or 5 weeks will participate in our 2025 Summer Showcase at the Scottish Rite Auditorium on Saturday, July 26th, 2025!
AUDITIONS
We are pleased to announce that we will be hosting 14 off-site auditions around the United States, 3 on-site auditions; 2 at our Philadelphia location and 1 at our West Chester location. 2 virtual auditions for those who are unable to attend an audition in person.
RESIDENCE
Full room and board accommodations are available at both locations for all sessions. Students may attend the Ballet Intensive as residents in our housing, or as commuters. All gentlemen are housed in Philadelphia but will travel to West Chester periodically for classes.

The Marine Club dorms are a dedicated dorm floor located in the Marine Club apartment complex and serve as home to our Professional Division resident students during the school year. Amenities include in room refrigerators and washer/dryer units as well as en suite bathrooms. This loft style dorm site is conveniently located directly across the street from The Rock School and gives summer residents a firsthand account of daily Rock School life, including all meals prepared on site by Chef John and The Rock School Cafe.
Please note that the Marine Club dormitories are offered to dancers attending the Philadelphia program.
Located in the heart of Rittenhouse at 1606 Locust Street, Curtis provides walkability to the School and multiple Center City attractions. Additional amenities include 24 hour security with key card access, an on site cafe which caters to a variety of dietary and nutritional needs, complimentary laundry facilities, lounge and terrace areas, and en suite bathrooms. Your dancer's daily curriculum will be enhanced further by this beautiful and convenient dorm life experience!
Please note that the Curtis Institute dormitories are offered to dancers attending the Philadelphia program.
FACULTY & CURRICULUM
The Rock School's full-time faculty is augmented by talented guest teachers at each location. Mr. Stark and the artistic leadership teach in West Chester and Philadelphia during each session. The Rock School's established curriculum facilitates growth in classical technique, artistry, and versatility. Pointe is offered for ladies ages 11+ who demonstrate technical readiness and have been taking pointe for at least 6 months. Partnering is offered for eligible students in both programs; the gentlemen travel to West Chester periodically during each session.
SUMMER SHOWCASE PERFORMANCE & DINNER
All students who enroll for the 3-week or 5-week sessions will participate in our 2025 Summer Showcase performance on Saturday, July 26th, 2025 at the Scottish Rite Auditorium! This performance brings together the West Chester and Philadelphia campuses to share their work in classical ballet and to celebrate with family and friends. Tickets to the performance will be available closer to the start of the intensive.
Immediately following the performance, dancers will attend a dinner and dance party in the Collingswood Ballroom (located in the same building as the performance). Please note that this event is for dancers only; families are unable to purchase tickets to the dinner.
